Reece Huff | President
My name is Reece Huff and I am a Junior in the BU College of Engineering majoring in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in Mechanical Engineering. I work under the mentorship of Professor Elise Morgan and Paul Barbone in the Orthopaedic and Developmental Biomechanics Laboratory. My goal is to obtain a Ph.D. in the field of Biomechanics and use my engineering skillset to pursue a career in academia or industry. I believe BMES is a great opportunity to meet and interact with fellow BME students who share common interests and I have greatly enjoyed my time in the club thus far. In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and hiking.
Ruchita Jain | Vice President
My name is Ruchita Jain and I am a junior in the Boston University College of Engineering studying Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in technology innovation. I hope to work in technology consulting once I graduate. Later on, I want to attend business school. In the future, I hope to design new treatments to improve the healthcare sector. I joined BMES as a freshman because it was a great way to meet fellow students in my major and learn more about the opportunities available at BU. Outside of school, I'm on BU's nationally ranked dance team BU Fatakada and I enjoy exploring Boston, reading, and binge watching Netflix shows.
Jack Cardini | Treasurer
My name is Jack Cardini and I am a junior studying Biomedical Engineering. Currently, I work in the Khalil Lab investigating the implementation of a synthetic genetic tool to track and control protein aggregation. I plan on pursuing a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and breaking into the field of Neuroengineering to explore remedies and preventative measures for neurodegenerative diseases. In my free time, I enjoy painting, reading, and playing guitar.
Rishi Vaidya | External Relations Chair
My name is Rishi Vaidya and I am currently a sophomore in the Boston University College of Engineering majoring in biomedical engineering. I am hoping to pursue a minor in mechanical engineering and a concentration in technology innovation. I would like to work in the medical device industry in order to develop and distribute medical technology and hope to further my education with an MBA in the future. Aside from education, I enjoy playing basketball, mixing music, and visiting various food spots in Boston.
Grace Hinds | Internal Relations Chair
My name is Grace Hinds and I am studying Biomedical Engineering at Boston University. I am interested in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in the application of engineering towards the development of medicines and devices for patients. After my undergraduate studies at BU, I hope to continue my education with a Ph.D. As the Internal Relations Chair, I am greatly looking forward to working alongside the members of BU BMES this year. Other than science, I’m passionate about running, food, and yoga.
